Chester was a World War II veteran, reaching the rank of Sergeant. After the war he worked in the china and gift business as a manufacturer’s representative doing so for over 50 years. He serviced all of the major department stores including Jordan Marsh and Filene’s, and worked with some of the most successful giftware companies in the industry.
